The Little Balcony is a very comfortable two bedroom holiday rental apartment in the old walled city (intramuros) of St Malo, Brittany, France and sleeps up to five people.

It is situated on the second floor, (45 steps with no elevator). It has a lovely sunny situation which is rare in a walled city. There are high ceilings, large windows, it is centrally heated and generally very comfortable.

The street below is busy with bars and restaurants so the nightlife can be noisy some weekends and during the peak season. However there is double glazing in both bedrooms and this makes sleeping comfortable.

We have rented the apartment for years on both Airbnb and TripAdvisor so please feel free to look at reviews on these sites and book through them if you prefer.

Obviously if you book direct there is no booking fee.

There are two bedrooms. Bedroom One has a double bed. Bedroom two a double and single bed.

A sitting room with the little balcony.

A well equipped kitchen

Bathroom with shower

Separate toilet & handbasin

WIFI – code given on arrival

Books, games, maps, no TV, iron, hairdryer

Bed linen towels and t-towels are included in the price but if you wish for them to be laundered after you’ve gone there is a 30 euro fee payable on arrival. This is to help keep the price down for people who prefer to go to the laundromat before leaving.

There is no washing machine in the apartment but the laundromat is less than a minute from the apartment building.

Housetrained pets are welcome by arrangement.

There is unlimited hot water and the central heating is set to 20 degrees during the colder months. This is the environmental recommendation. If you wish for a warmer temperature then a meter reading is taken on your arrival and before leaving to charge the heating according to what your usage has been.

These vary according to time of year, amount of people stayingand length of stay. There is a three night minimum.

Approving words from our visitors…

A fantastic and central location for exploring the delights of St Malo, would highly recommend. The owner Anne was a very welcoming and friendly host, all facilities within the Little Balcony were top notch. The beaches and local facilities were absolutely wonderful and will definately be returning in the near future.

We spent four days at the Little Balcony apartment in St. Malo. The apartment is located within the walls and provided everything we needed to enjoy a wonderful stay. The apartment is spacious with two large bedrooms, a living room and a fully equipped kitchen. We ate several meals at home so the kitchen was perfect for us.

The apartment is well located and equipped. It is clean, spacious and Annie is a very attentive host. The decor is delightfully colourful and quirky. The kitchen has everything you need.

We have just spent a wonderful week in The Little Balcony apartment in St Malo with our two grandchildren. The apartment is ideally situated within the old walls which means it is easily accessible to all the ramparts, beaches and the many restaurants.

The apartment was good value being off season when I booked it. It was warm, comfortable and in a great location based in the old walled part of the city.
